Environmental Problems Are Only Caused by Men (Part I)

September 16th, 2007 by Glenn Sacks, MA for Fathers & Families

Male consumers victimizing Mother Nature. In almost all editorial cartoons, men and only men are blamed for global warming and environmental problems. This cartoon by Jim Borgman of The Cincinnati Enquirer, is another example.

Must have been the tractor he used to plow the field that he's standing in so that he could grow food to be eaten only by men.

Good thing that women never use modern technology/electricty and life in thw woods, in harmony with nature.

If we count this with the global warming cartoons, that makes 6 consecutive cartoons. Considering that most editorial cartoons are not about the environment, I'd say that makes a definate trend in blaming men for pollution.

The morality is clear : You take away my honey and I will take away the bees. Even in the life of a bee's queen. Also, no honey for his honey. He can't win as long as he acts as the agent on behalve of those who want all the honey. He has to decide for himself how much honey will be taken away. By the way, mother nature has just left the building, declared as way too old fashioned by the local feminist's authority. And she is pissed off.

I believe it all goes back to Engels and Marx, two white men bitching about being oppressed by 'faceless corporate conglomerates,' the supposedly faceless also being other white men. So, thanks to that and the liberal posture of the media, "Big Business" will always be a white guy in a suit and despite the fact we created most of the farming technology that made it more economical and ecologically safe to farm, "destructive agriculture" will always be a white farmer, when in actuality it should be tanned to dark. We haven't clear-cut and torched a forest in years.
