Last week I wrote about feminist blogger Amanda Marcotte being named ‘Blogger-in-Chief’ for the John Edwards campaign. Though Marcotte has been very critical of the men’s movement (and of yours truly), I think she is a talented writer, and I like her personally. But Marcotte is a foul-mouthed radical feminist, which is an odd blogger-in-chief for a presidential candidate. I predicted that she would be a "fodder-rich target for Edwards’ enemies." This has now begun.

The Blogger News Network today released a brief compilation of some of Marcotte's radical opinions--see below. After Marcotte's elevation to the post I wrote to her wishing her well, and I meant it, but I'll be surprised if she lasts very long in her new job. I'll be happy to be wrong.

The Blogger News Network cited the Marcotte blog opinions below which will embarrass Edwards. Other observers--such as, for example, an assistant for Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity--could find far more, including some which are worse. According to Hayes, some of Marcotte's opinions include: NASCAR is an emblem of Southern White Supremacism; the Republicans are a misogynistic, homophobic, racist party; if you value the traditional Canon, it’s because it upholds White Supremacism; Christian supporters of Israel hate Muslims and seek the end of the world…but are still eager to kill off some Jews, as well; the crucifixion of Christ makes fundamentalists yearn to torture Muslims; and religion is bad for society, and charity is an excuse to harm the weak.
