Sounds Like Women's Studies...
November 28th, 2008 by Glenn Sacks, MA for Fathers & Families
The example here is a middle-aged woman's book club but college men endure this all the time as Women's Studies promotes anti-male exaggerations and falsehoods. Chrsitian Hoff Sommers accurately describes some of these not as "Hate Speech but as "Hate Statistics."

Myself and my friend are in the business of cartoons and animation by the way. Not easy ways to make a living (newspaper cartoons have been in decline for decades and there's very few that have anything relevant to say.)
Occasionally people remark about how male-heavy the crew is at these studios (much like game and tech companies). But the workers making the media don't often get to choose what content they're handling, that's an executive decision. Often, especially in children's TV, or anything related to toy marketing (a big tie in with animation), there are many more female executives up top deciding the content. So I have heard people complaining about the boy's club when they don't have the power.

Feminists do not have the equivalent of Martin Luther King or his "I have a dream speech." A true movement towards inclusion is marked by requests for compassion for all beings (including us), and equality for all (including us). "Why can't we all get along" -- is not a quote from a feminist. Rather, in contrast, the feminist literature is full of "hate them" speech and arguments of victimization, and speech about 'winning'.
This is so well known and has gotten so tiring that it even makes for funny cartoons.
It is ironic that a group that goes so far as to complain about the use of the word "hysterical" because of its etymology, would work so hard as to make this the very word that describes them.

Danny says,
"Any place that is only populated with a certain group has the chance of becoming a den of anti-____ hatred."
This is more likely to occur with groups of women than men however, because women have a much stronger sense of in-group vs out-group, and since they all perceive themselves as part of a collective "sisterhood", esp. while in each others' presence - thus men as a class become the out-group during these hate seminars.

I read somewhere that social scientists around the world agree, the most liberated group of people the world has ever witnessed in terms of Health, wealth, leasure time, and general life options, is the white middle class female.
Now i don't mind offering a life that is a little easier for the ones I love, but when they start to demand it, that is arrongance that is annoying!!

Nancy, I saw the program for sometime. You tube link - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWPSJsfStP4
They were saying 85-95% of the people killed are Women. More than 1000 Women killed every year.
Not sure how far it is accurate.

Davina,
On the other hand, if the man is stupid enough to be taken for a ride probably he deserves it.
I agree that there are horrible men/women out there and we have to be careful.

Couple of years ago there was a kerfuffle over the Reef Club in Perth, Australia. The Reef Club is one of the old style gin & tonic gentleman's clubs. Criticised heavily for being gender specific and denying women the opportunity for networking and mentoring.
Leading the charge was the president of the Western Australian Womens Lawyers Association, an organisation that, in it's charter, promises to provide networking and mentoring opportunities - for women only.

Davina,
I have seen this pattern before and what it looks like to me is that the vacations and the gifts are just punani-payments from the woman's perspective. Soft prostitution if you will. I say this based on a particular friend's "girlfriends" - its not that uncommon a thing these days.
